The Nightmare

Elizabeth's victims had reached well into the triple-digits. She was now drinking their blood along with bathing in it, even biting off chunks of her victms' flesh with her own teeth and drinking the blood from the source.

But the blood had long lost its effect: she needed better blood, the blood of nobles.

Since Elizabeth was highly educated, she began a "school" for teenage girls of noble birth. It would prove to be a mistake, for although Elizabeth could get away with killing hundreds of peaseant girls, she could not escape the scrutiny from her fellow nobility with the death of their daughters.

A clergyman finally notified King Matthias of Hungary. Elizabeth at least gave some her victims proper Christian burials, and the clergy had seen a few too many. By now, Elizabeth had gotten lazy with the corpses, simply throwing them out the window for the wolves.

The King appointed Elizabeth's cousin, Count Thurzo, to conduct an investigation. Many believe that the King mostly called the investigation so that he wouldn't have to pay back the loans owed to Elizabeth, if she were to be convicted. Thurzo, with a small militia, raided the castle and witnessed himself the horror of Csethje Castle.

Elizabeth had kept a record of every victim she took.

The total... 650 young girls.
