At 11 Elizabeth's family betrothed her to the Count Ferencz Nadadsy,who was 26 at the time, and she married him when she was 15.


Even though she was his wife, he took on her name because his family was of a lower social status.



Ferencz
went off to war a lot and left Elizabeth by herself in a lonely, gloomy castle that overlooked a quiet village called Csejthe(Cachtice), in the Carpathian Mountains of central Romania, known then as Transylvania...



And as said before, Elizabeth was not immune from her family's psychoses..
